Public presentation is nightmare to many. With the whole crowd staring at you the presenter, it is true that your knees would shiver. There are three elements that make you appear more confident and bring the audience to your mood.
Visual element is the first element of the presentation which focuses on the things that appears to the audience. Though many visual aids can be used during the presentation, these visual elements can only support the presenter. The presenter will always be the centre of attraction. Nothing can replace the presenter. The mood of the entire crowd is in the hands of the presenter. So, it is important for the presenter to appear in appropriate attire.
Vocal element:
Everyone in the crowd should clearly understand what the presenter is speaking. If not the whole meaning of the presentation will be shattered. So, it is important to raise the voice as to reach every audience. Do not murmur or swallow some words.
Verbal elements:
Choice of words is another important thing which decides the success of a presentation. Right words in the right place is important to hold the pulse of the audience. Bad display can result with the bad choice of words. The situation may even worse if the presenter uses disfluencies. Disfluencies are stutters and stummers that breaks the flow of the speech. These breaks and irregularities in the speech can depreciate the mood of the audience. It is also important to avoid the gap fillers like “hmmm”, “You know”, ‘Ok” during the presentation which can mar the effectiveness of the presentation.
