Till our school life we are excited every year on the same very occasions when we would get a holiday or we would wear nice colorful clothes and go to school for some festivities or celebrations. But as we grow and enter into the corporate world, the meaning of festivities changes for us. We are no more bound with the boring school uniform and are free to take an off the day we want but the meaning and importance of festivities and celebrations change. Children get happy with the occasional distribution of sweets but in the corporate world, the only thing that makes festivals and celebrations joyful is the bonuses and the extra perks. And hence it’s difficult to say if these celebrations are just for the heck of it or do they really hold any meaning and value in the offices.
